Privacy Policy — Renova

Last updated: August 4, 2026

Renova is a local-first iOS app. This policy explains what data the app collects, where it goes, and what control you have over it.

Summary: Renova stores all of your data on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to Renova's developer, to a cloud server, or to any third-party analytics or advertising service.

What data Renova collects

Where your data is stored

All data described above is stored locally on your iPhone. Renova does not require an account, does not sync to a cloud service, and does not include any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

Data sharing

Renova does not transmit your data to the app's developer or to any third party. Your data leaves your device only if you explicitly export it yourself (for example, to share a CSV file with a coach or another app of your choosing).

Bluetooth & hardware

Renova uses Bluetooth solely to connect to a compatible chest strap heart rate monitor (e.g. Garmin, Polar, Wahoo, Suunto) for morning measurement sessions. Wrist-worn devices are not supported. No Bluetooth data is transmitted anywhere other than between your strap and your iPhone.

Data deletion

Since all data is stored locally, deleting the Renova app from your device permanently deletes all associated data. There is no account or server-side copy to separately request deletion of.

Children's privacy

Renova is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "last updated" date.
